PRE-PROFESSIONAL

DIVISION

The Pre-Professional division is our most advanced division of The Rhythm Ensemble. For advanced/ pre-professional dancers, this program is both a training and performance focused program. Dancers will work on tap technique, improvisation, music theory, live music sessions, history, company repertoire (choreography), and historical repertoire, as well as work with various artists in residence. Interested dancers must audition for a spot in The Rhythm Ensemble. Open to dancers ages 14 & up, the aim of this division is to transition dancers into the professional community.

The Rhythm Ensemble program consists of a one year program, split into three term. Dancers do not need commit to the full year in order to participate in the program, but it is strongly recommended in order to maintain consistency in their training. Dancers must commit to (a) full term(s) and drop-ins will not be accepted. The terms are split as follows:

  • Term One: September- November

  • Term Two: December- February

  • Term Three: June- August

COST: $365 + HST

Families with multiple siblings in The Rhythm Ensemble will be eligible for our sibling discount.
